Once a joint mission, why the economy could now split the Coalition

It is a long forgotten fact now, but before the election the Libdems and Labour had a plan to deal with the deficit that was closer to each other than to the Conservative plan.

We may now be coming full circle. With the economy officially in slump, the Conservatives are signalling their future direction through Liam Fox today. He tells the Daily Mail and Telegraph today that what we actually need more cuts and 'labour market reforms' to pull out of the slump. It is madness.
